Jagad Lengger Festival

Jagat Lengger Festival (JLF) is a collaborative cultural work held to read the route of the development of the Lengger tradition in the past, present and tomorrow.

The event was held in Banyumas Regency, where the Lengger tradition was born and grew. JLF period 2023 themed “Indhang and Inang Lengger”. JLF as a cultural festival, contains performances, archival exhibitions, book reviews, film screenings, seminars and discussions about the Lengger tradition.

The urgency of this festival is held as a mitigation measure for traditional culture, where the dynamics of changing times today have changed the cultural situation in Indonesia, including the Lengger tradition. This festival is projected to be able to provide a stimulus to the younger generation to develop the Lengger tradition in line with the pace of the times.
